God is Savior + Defender

Outline of Psalm 17:
1) Injustice surrounds me. (v. 1)
2) I did not invite it. (vs. 2-4)
3) My stand is on Your word and Your love. (vs. 5-7)
4) Deal with my enemies. (vs. 8-14)
5) Eternity trumps time and I know how the story ends. (v. 15)

"Verses 8-12 are a Defense prayer and verses 13-14 are an Offensive prayer."
"Vs 15 My future is promised and secure. One day I will see You face to face, clothed in the righteousness of Jesus Christ. I will rejoice in the future inheritance you have prepared for me after you call me home from the dead to live with you in the millennial kingdom, and ultimately to my dwelling Jesus is preparing for me now in the new heaven and the new earth."
