Antioch Bible Church’s Mission Ministry exists to glorify God by making disciples through education, training, evaluation and providing opportunities to minister and serve cross-culturally with the Gospel of Jesus Christ – Across the Street and Around the World.
Welcome to Antioch Missions! My name is Melanie and I’ve served here on staff since 2008.
Throughout the years, I’ve been honored to coordinate, and serve as a leader on many short-term mission trips, as well as enjoying on-field visits with some of our missionaries, who we refer to as “Ambassadors”. All of our Ambassadors minister cross-culturally and prioritize discipling and training locals to move into positions of leadership in their various fields of ministry, as they serve the Lord “Across the Street and Around the World”. You can learn more about them and their areas of ministry below.

David & Holly Hughes
Paraclete46 | Honolulu, Hawaii - USA
The Mission
To offer resources and guidance to at-risk urban student athletes and their families.
the vision
To see the Lord bring eternal change in the lives of urban student athletes and their families, by partnering with churches, schools, businessmen and lawmakers.
what they do
Paraclete 46 is an inner-city outreach ministry focused on sharing the gospel of Christ by intentionally building relationships with at-risk urban student athletes and their families.
Paraclete, taken from the English transliteration of the Greek word paráklētos, signifies “one who consoles or comforts, one who encourages or uplifts; hence refreshes, and/or one who intercedes on our behalf as an advocate in court”. Number 46 was David’s Jersey number while with the Seattle Seahawks. He and his wife Holly were born and raised in Hawaii and after 10 years of ministering in Seattle’s Rainier Valley, the Lord brought them back home to operate the ministry out of the historic Palama Settlement in Honolulu.

who they are
David attended Boise State University and was drafted #31 in the 2nd round by the Seattle Seahawks. Both he and his wife Holly accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior through a Precept Bible Study with the team in 1985. Competing and winning at the highest levels had always been a part of David’s life. After having faced the death of his father at age 11, the death of his daughter, who was 22 the time, and almost 7 years later, his 10-day old grandson as well, he offers great insight to inner-city youth on living victoriously with joy despite your circumstances.
Raymond & Ruby Mensah
Antioch Bible Church Tema | Tema, Ghana - Africa
The Mission
As a church, we exist to honor God by reaching out to people of all cultures, from different backgrounds and of varying abilities with the gospel of Jesus Christ; first in Ghana and as the Lord leads - throughout the world.
the vision
To reach the deaf community and their families with the message and love of Jesus Christ. The deaf have been treated as cursed and of no value. We seek to incorporate the hearing community and the deaf community into one congregation, bringing reconciliation between the two.
what they do
Antioch is a holistic and balanced church, teaching and reaching with love and truth in practical and life changing programs to deepen and widen the believer’s walk with God. We work with children and teens through the evangelistic Awana program and training the young adults in Christian discipleship and leadership skills, in order to raise up the next generation with a firm foundation in Christ. We equip the congregation to reach their community by sharing the gospel through street evangelism, discipling and training leadership for ministry and vocational training.
who they are
ABC-Tema opened its doors in January 2004. It is pastored by Raymond Mensah and supported by his wife Ruby and their three sons, John, David, and Isaac.

Doug Wagner
Youth With A Mission - YWAM | Bangkok, Thailand - Asia
The Mission
YWAM Thailand is committed to expressing the Kingdom of God through training, evangelism, and mercy ministries in partnership with local churches and other organizations.
the vision
Living the Kingdom, transforming lives, impacting the nations.
what they do
Doug has now been fulltime missionary with YWAM in Bangkok for several years and has enjoyed the fruits of building up Thais in their Christian life to pursue their dreams in multimedia. Thais have little access to Christian materials thus, content created in Thai language, is key to generating a multiplying effect. Doug has already helped one Thai in video technology, who was recently hired by a news television station in Bangkok. Another Thai, a musician he has discipled for several years, has been involved in a Thai Christian album project, training seminars, and many live performances. Please pray for more Thais to have a large and bold vision to reach their nation.
who they are
Doug grew up in Bellevue and began attending Antioch Bible Church back in 1990. Friends at Antioch introduced Doug to Campus Crusade (CRU) the following year, and after joining them for an outreach in 1992 to Osaka, Japan, Doug became hooked on overseas missions. He continued to join CRU on their summer outreach projects and began praying for an open door to go fulltime. In 2003 that guidance came as a call to help a growing base that YWAM had established in Bangkok, Thailand, right across the street from a huge university. It was the perfect opportunity to use his software and media skills to help their vision of reaching out to youth through music and video and to also use his years of skills in connecting with university students for friendship evangelism.
