Checklist for Victorious Prayer Life
1. Are all your sins confessed that you are aware of?
a. Isaiah 59:1-2 Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.
b. I John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and wilol forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
2. Are your relationships with others right?
a. Matthew 6:14 For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
3. Are you seeking His Will?
a. I John 5:14-15 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us – whatever we ask – we know that we have what we asked of him.
4. Are you seeking to glorify God?
a. John 14:13-14 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.
5. Are you depending on the Holy Spirit's leading?
a. Ephesians 6:18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
b. I Peter 5:6-7 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.
6. Are you trusting God in spite of what seems to be?
a. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.
7. Are you praising God no matter what?
a. Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.
b. I Thessalonians 5:16-18 Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
