In 1995 Freddie Cantrell began to reach out to youth in detention facilities in Washington State. We expanded in 1998 to include the County Jails of King and Snohomish County and again to Issaquah City Jail in 2002.
This ministry was started by our Ambassadors, David and Holly Hughes. Their vision is to see the Lord bring eternal change into the lives of urban student athletes and their families by partnering with churches, schools, businesses and lawmakers to create opportunities and a safer community.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19,20 By offering Short Term Trip opportunities, the Antioch Mission Ministry provides a vehicle to fulfill the charge that Jesus gave in this scripture.
