Nicole has been working with Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ International) since 1996, when she started working as an affiliate staff with the Student Ministry at Oregon State University and then spent 4 years at the University of Washington.
In 2002 Nicole went to serve with the campus ministry in Florence, Italy and in her first two years of STINT she began to see a stark contrast within the culture, where churches abound and images of Jesus can be found in art galleries, on walls and in places of worship and yet though Jesus is everywhere, he is nowhere at the same time. A kind of ever present nothing that though obvious, has yet been missed and is absent from the hearts of many Italians.
After two adventurous and difficult years, Nicole’s heart was drawn to serve in Italy long term to help Italian students discover the Jesus they had never known. Her first several years back as long term staff were spent as the Associate Student Director at the University of Florence, helping to launch a student movement on the campus and desiring above all other things that Italian students would come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord and to walk with him for a lifetime.
In 2008 she became the National Director of Next Generation, giving leadership to help raise up a new generation of Italian staff and Interns and then in 2010 she became the National Director of the Student Ministry for Italy. Nicole then moved to Portland, Oregon in 2012, where worked on the Cru Global Missions Team for the Northwest Region, as well as traveling worldwide to train Cru Staff and Interns serving internationally.
In 2016, the Lord moved Nicole to London, England, where she now serves as CRU’s Associate Student Director for the UK. She and her team have seen tremendous growth in the short time she has been there.
